About the Role:

Chabad Intown seeks a dynamic, strategic, and relationship-driven Director of Development to lead our fundraising efforts and expand our donor base. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing donor relationships, identifying and securing new funding opportunities, and managing the planning and execution of our annual campaign. This role is key to advancing our mission and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our programs and services.

What You’ll Do:

● Build and maintain meaningful relationships with donors, foundations, and key stakeholders while developing strategies that deepen engagement and ensure long-term support

● Identify, research, and engage new individual, corporate, and foundation prospects, expanding the donor pipeline and increasing overall community investment

● Plan and execute the annual fundraising campaign, including messaging, timelines, goals, and coordination with staff, board members, and volunteers to maximize results

● Develop and manage donor-facing materials such as appeals, impact reports, and ongoing communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational messaging

● Monitor fundraising metrics, analyze donor engagement, prepare reports for leadership, and support events and outreach efforts that strengthen donor relationships and visibility

● Oversee and optimize the organization’s CRM system, ensuring accurate, up-to-date data and leveraging insights to drive strategic, data-informed decision-making

What You’ll Bring:

● 7+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or donor relations

● Demonstrated success in donor relations, cultivation, and campaign management

● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

● Highly organized, strategic, and self-motivated

● Proficient in donor management systems and fundraising software

● Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently

Preferred Experience:

● Experience in a nonprofit, synagogue, school, or mission-driven organization

● Prior experience with the management and execution of annual giving, major gifts or

capital campaigns

● Proven track record of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

● Comfortable working with data, lists, and tracking systems (e.g., spreadsheets, CRMs)

● Competitive salary of $85,000–$105,000
