New Moon Rosh Chodesh Kickoff Event 5786 at the Pool!

New moon Rosh Chodesh Kicks Off with Floating Serenity at Sunset

On Monday, October 20, women gathered for Chabad Intown’s New Moon: Rosh Chodesh series kickoff event- a truly unique experience at Piedmont Park pool.

The evening began with wine, cheese, and conversation as guests mingled poolside, reconnecting after the busy holiday season. Dena Schusterman set the tone for the night with words of insight about the spiritual energy of the new month of Cheshvan - a month known for its quiet, steady energy and opportunity for inner grounding after the spiritual highs of Tishrei.

From there, participants slipped into the pool to begin a floating journey of sound and stillness. Guided by Stephanie Bernstein, the gentle rhythm of the water and the soothing sound bath created a meditative space for release, reflection, and reconnection.

As the new moon rose over Piedmont Park, the experience invited everyone to float, breathe, and simply be. The evening closed in a spirit of serenity and gratitude, marking not only the start of a new month, but the beginning of a yearlong journey of sisterhood and spiritual growth.

The New Moon: Rosh Chodesh Society continues throughout the year, offering monthly gatherings that explore timeless Jewish wisdom through meaningful conversation, mindfulness, and community connection.

Join us as we continue to journey through the months together — one new moon at a time.
